Photo essay for today, while I'm still on vacation and away from the computer. We're currently in Athens, but will be coming home to Dubai in just a couple of days. Can't wait to share all about it with you!
In the meantime, some four-legged friends spotted by the road in the UAE emirate, Umm al Quwain:

the daddy donkey was also standing nearby, keeping an eye on us.
noble and beautiful
and to think, before we came to the land of the camel, I feared the UAE desert would be desolate and empty of life...
